About: St Morty's Ride Died was the public funeral and open wake for my beloved automobile, named St Morty's Ride. This vehicle transported me many times back and forth across the country, having been bought for the sum of $700 in New Jersey and finally dying in my arms in Pittsburgh. It felt only appropriate to mark this death with an open wake. People were invited to come and bring devotional objects or candles, to share in the sadness with us. Special thanks to the artist Derk Wolmuth, who opened his gallery to us for the evening.
