Slate Variations I - X is a new body of work (in process/progress right now) that seeks a deeper investigation into the material of slate with ten distinct pieces as photographs, videos, and sculptural pieces. Since 2014 I have been working with slate, and find it to be extremely engaging and beautiful in its fragility and strength. In Slate Variations II, I am drawing an abstraction, only to watch it dissolve into further abstraction and then into its own absence.
