About the work: Wild Clarity is a body of work done in 2015-2016 while a resident artist at Pittsburgh Filmmakers. I made a series of short films in collaboration with many Pittsburgh artists and performers. The body of work also includes studio artwork of drawings, photographs, and writing. It is inspired by Pittsburgh and is a poetic investigation that focuses on the relationships between the human body and the earth body. Other strong themes in the work include racism, the interrogation of whiteness and power, American history and herstory, climate change, identity. I am interested in looking at all of these things from the local to the global scale.
